Welcome to Design Technology Tutoring! 

Online Tutoring 

For the Fall 2026, you can meet our tutor online. Upon joining the Zoom session, you will be directed to a breakout room, where tutors will be available to assist you. To view the availability of tutors, please see the schedule provided below. Please note that drop-ins without a prior appointment may experience a waiting period.

Tutoring center will open from 09/08 - 12/18 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For any questions joining the zoom, please contact bus_csis_tc@smc.edu. 

Booking Tutoring Appointments

Both in person and online appointments must be made from your SMC Corsair Connect.

Step by Step Instructions Available Here

1. Log into Corsair Connect.
2. Click on the "Resources and Services" tab on the left side of the homepage.
3. Under the "Student Support" drop down menu, click on "Tutoring"

   

4. If you don’t have an account already, you will be prompted to fill in your personal information and REGISTER. Providing your cell phone number at the bottom of the page will allow you to receive text notifications regarding your appointment (recommended).
5. Choose either the "Tutoring - (Semester)" tutoring center from the drop-down menu at the top-center of the page.
6. Select your preferences in the “Find an Appointment” box at the bottom of the page. If you prefer to search for an appointment using the calendar display rather than the “Find an Appointment” search, click on the “View Calendar Display” link below the "Find Appointments” button.
7. When you find a time and tutor you want, click “Reserve” and complete the pop-up box.
8. Be sure to click “Create Appointment” at the bottom of the window. You will receive a confirmation email confirming the location, date, time and tutor. Please arrive on time.

For any questions or concerns, please directly email the Tutoring Coordinator via shi_mengyi@smc.edu. You may upload files when setting up the appointment. Group tutoring can also be requested via email, contact the tutoring center to request group sessions.
